A new instrument novi instrument

Zdravo! I am an accordionist from the UK, I love Balkan music and have been trying to learn for around two years. I have some questions about new instruments. I will write in English and include google translate Bosnian at the bottom, so I'm sorry if the translation is wrong.

Here in the Uk it is impossible to find an balkan tuned, good quality instrument second hand. We all play musette. I have been looking for a new accordion for some time, I even visited Belgrade, Mostar and Sarajevo to try and buy something and could not find anything.

I have been looking online and I am thinking about buying a Delicia, or a Petromaestro. Here Delicia has a bad reputation, but no one has the new instruments. Petromaestro is totally unknown here.

I have been in touch with the Delicia workshop in Czech Republic, but cannot find Ivan Petrovic on the internet. Do you know where I can find him?

What do you think of these instruments? For me I am looking for something with a good, fast keyboard, that will last a long time.

Ja sam harmonikaš iz Velike Britanije, volim balkansku muziku i pokušavam da učim oko dve godine. Imam nekoliko pitanja o novim instrumentima. Pisaću na engleskom i uključiti google translate bosno na dnu, pa mi je žao ako je prevod pogrešan.

Ovdje u Velikoj Britaniji je nemoguće pronaći balkanski štimovan, kvalitetan instrument iz polovne ruke. Svi sviramo muzetu. Već neko vrijeme tražim novu harmoniku, čak sam posjetio i Beograd, Mostar i Sarajevo da probam nešto kupiti i ništa nisam našao.

Tražio sam online i razmišljam o kupovini Delicia ili Petromaestra. Ovdje Delicia ima lošu reputaciju, ali niko nema nove instrumente. Petromaestro je ovdje potpuno nepoznat.

Bio sam u kontaktu sa radionicom Delicia u Češkoj, ali ne mogu naći Ivana Petrovića na internetu. Znate li gdje ga mogu naći?

Šta mislite o ovim instrumentima? Za mene tražim nešto sa dobrom, brzom tastaturom, koja će dugo trajati.

Želim nešto sa brzom tastaturom. Otkrio sam da neki vrlo dobri brendovi (Guerrini, Dallape, Soprani) imaju spore klavijature jer su stare.

Delicia instruments are generally considered as third-class instruments (for various reasons). Their seducing, or "seducing" price could be a lure to get a buyer hooked on. However, their tonal and technical qualities, as well as the quality of the manufacturing (better to say - lacks of it) are more than obvious.

Getting an "old" Guerrini, Dallape, Soprani (as mentioned in your previous post) is, in a way, a guarantee of a skilled and proved labor competencies and quality. Of course, it all depends on the overall condition of a particular instrument... and your budget too.

Regarding the "quickness of the keyboard", we've spent a great deal of time and effort here on this platform elaborating this very demanding (but worthwhile) process, and I warmly welcome you to spend your time reading our previous posts on this matter...

Anyhow - welcome (again) on this platform, and don't worry - besides learning more about Serbian music style (and playing), you'll end up learning some of Serbian language too!

Hi Samiponce, thank you for your warm welcome to the forum, I will take a look over previous posts on quickness of the keyboard.

Sometimes I see videos of children playing very old, worn keyboards, and doing complex ornaments and trills I cannot accomplish my instrument, so maybe it is my skills that need to be faster, and not the keyboard.

Thank you for your private message, I am unable to respond yet as the forum limits this option until you have participated in a number of discussions on the website. I will get back to you when I can.

And as for learning Serbian, it was quite good when I was in the country, I am a bit out of practice now but im sure it will come back when I return. Also, you people know how have fun and party!
